[December 06, 2024, HSINCHU, Taiwan] As AI technology advances, smart manufacturing has become a key trend driving the transformation and upgrading of global manufacturing industries. To help Taiwan's fastener, mold, hand tool, and plumbing industries seize opportunities in smart manufacturing, Syntec Group and the Metal Industries Research and Development Centre co-hosted the "AI Smart Manufacturing Forum" on December 5th. The event attracted over 70 enthusiastic industry professionals.

The forum invited industry leaders and experts to share the latest trends and practical cases. Topics covered included the new opportunities brought by the rise of generative AI, smart factory solutions, robotics applications, low-carbon laser processing, digital design assistance, and pneumatic digital management. Through the experts' in-depth presentations, participants gained valuable insights into integrating cutting-edge technologies into production lines to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Participants expressed great interest in how to use smart manufacturing technology to enhance the competitiveness of hand tool component manufacturers in the face of high-mix, low-volume production model. Experts shared many successful cases, enabling attendees to learn from practical experience and outline a blueprint for their own smart factories.

Syntec Group emphasized that the forum’s success not only showcased its strong technical expertise in smart manufacturing but also highlighted the industry's pressing need for digital transformation. Looking ahead, Syntec Group will continue to invest in the research and development of smart manufacturing technologies. By collaborating with industry associations, the company aims to support more enterprises in achieving smart transformation and jointly building a more competitive Taiwanese manufacturing industry.
